With the issue 06/2026 of FUJILOVE MAGAZINE my 6-part-series “Breaking the rules” comes to an end.
In the final instalment of the article series called “Streetphotography is always spontaneous!” I challenge one of street photography’s most commonly repeated assumptions. Through examples from my work, I explore the balance between patience, planning and chance, arguing that some of the strongest photographs emerge when preparation and spontaneity meet.
